At Johnston Heights Church our kids (infant through 7th grade) experience safe, age-appropriate environments where they learn about Jesus in a creative and relevant way.

Our vision for children, is that they would come to know Jesus in the spaces we create on a Sunday morning, allowing the Holy Spirit to work in their lives, and that they would live this out in every community they are in.

If you are bringing a child between the ages of 0-grade 7 to one of our Sunday morning kids programs, we ask everyone to register by visiting the registration table in the lower auditorium. This helps us ensure a smooth Sunday morning check-in process, aids with security, and improves communication.

Our Sunday morning JHC Kids Classes are available as follows:

• Nursery - BABIES - 0-18months
• TODDLERS - 18months - under 3 years
• PRESCHOOL - 3-5years
• JR PRIMARY - Kindergarten - Grade 1
• SR PRIMARY - Grade 2 &3
• FUSION - Grade 4-7 (Fusion sits in the main service the first Sunday of every month)

Emily Carnahan has attended Johnston Heights Church her whole life, working in a variety of positions at JHC on staff, and began as the Director of Kids Ministry in 2018. Emily is passionate about seeing children children grow in their knowledge of God through His Word, and come to know Jesus through the work of the Holy Sprit and our gifted and amazing Volunteer Team. Emily is married to her husband Dan, and has three beautiful daughters that have taught her most of what she knows about Children's Ministry. Emily began her ministry at the church working with youth and studied at Columbia Bible College in Abbotsford in the Youth Ministry Program. Emily has continued her studies at ACTS Seminary receiving training in Children's Ministry and has a passion to continue to learn and grow. She loves coffee, any DIY adventure with her girls, vacation trips with her family and kids music; lots of kids songs to sing and dance to!
